Urinary IncontinenceWhat is Urinary Incontinence? Urinary incontinence is a condition in which there is involuntary loss of urine to a degree that interferes with a person’s social life and/or compromises their hygiene. It is estimated that approximately 20-40% of the female population experience incontinence in their lifetime. In fact, the prevalence of urinary incontinence in women over 40 years of age is 15-20%. In our center we manage urinary incontinence by offering state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgical techniques that allow a hospital stay of less than 24 hours and a fast recovery (usually 1-2 weeks). A proper evaluation and accurate diagnosis coupled with the appropriate surgical corrective procedure and/or medical management leads to resolution of the incontinence in the vast majority of our patients.
